Chinese Chicken Salad + Easy oo’mämē Dressing

Protein bowls are such a great way to cook for one. But they are also great for a family, letting everyone grab the ingredients that they love best, putting a personal spin on dinner. Normally, a restaurant quality Chinese Chicken Salad would be oh-so time-consuming. But now, all you need to turn oo’mämē Chinese Chile Infusion to a fabulous dressing is some mayo. Ladle both oo’mämē’s oil and crunchy tidbits into a bowl of mayonnaise, stir, and you have just gone from dull to delicious.

You can really short-cut your prep by using a rotisserie chicken and ready-sliced cabbage. Nearly everything else you’ll need is a pantry item and so that makes this basically a dump and stir recipe. Yeah! This recipe also lends itself to the perfect meal prep menu solution since everything can be prepared well in advance and assembled at serving time, making it a tasty, quick and easy solution to mealtime struggles.

Pro Tip: Make extra dressing and keep it refrigerated in an airtight jar for future use!

 

Chinese Chicken Salad with Easy oo’mämē Dressing

Must Have

Jar of oo’mämē Chinese Chile Infusion

oo’mämē Chinese Chile Infusion
+
Mayonnaise

Consider Including

Shredded roasted or poached chicken

Sliced red cabbage

Sliced water chestnuts, drained

Chopped, cooked snow peas

Sliced scallions

Cilantro leaves

Serving Suggestions: Sliced almonds, Chow Mein noodles, sprouts

 

 How To

Make the salad by combining chicken, cabbage, water chestnuts, snow peas, scallions and cilantro in a bowl.

Separately, combine equal parts mayonnaise and oo’mämē Chinese Chile Infusion in a small bowl and stir until mixed well.

Add enough dressing to the salad to coat the ingredients. Toss to combine.

Garnish with almonds, Chow Mein noodles and sprouts.
