One of the greatest uses of oo’mämē Chinese or Mexican Chile Infusion is to trick out supermarket purchases and fancy them up. Hummus is easy to make, of course, but it sure is easier to buy. And it comes in so many flavors…. smoky chipotle, lemon twist, roasted garlic…. and using many beans…. traditional garbanzo, yellow lentil, edamame. You can add oo’mämē to any kind or flavor, but we like it best on plain, letting the complex layers of texture and flavor of oo’mämē come through without competition.

Take this as an app to a party and no one will be the wiser! Serve with pita, or chips, vegetables like radishes or carrots. Be the boss and come up with something creative. Can you get your hands on watermelon radishes – so pretty with their magenta hues – or raw kohlrabi slices?
